Existentialism as a concept, concerns itself with the nature of concrete human existence & fundamental freedom. To its end, it introduces the "Being-for-Itself" (Subjects) as a novel concept to describe the Being – alive and engaged in the subjective experience; and addresses the freedom we hold to shape and define what it is we are.

Being-for-Itself is the essence of consciousness and subjectivity. Unlike chairs, and tires, and headbands, and Chardonnay, the living have this unique ability to transcend the immediate material condition and make choices. These choices continuously constitute us and inform the future’s decisions-potentials. This constant process of ‘becoming’ is the project onto itself. It is both terrific and terrifying because while the subject is radically free, the subject is also radically responsible for their actions and resultant consequences. The weight of this responsibility manifests as anxiety, inseparable from the human condition.

Above were some Subjects who, in the midst of their project of life, engaged in a project such that it, intersected with mine.
